We Just Keep On Growing! The Godley WildCat Band Program is a growing one. Currently, we have 109 members in the High School Band and well over 200 in the Middle School, including a new program which puts every 6th grader in band. In October, the Marching band earned a rating of Superior, receiving scores of 1-1-1 at the Region 7 Marching Festival. The WildCat Band also received straight ones at the Paluxy Valley Marching Contest. Seven students earned a spot in the All-District Band and one was named first alternate. Two of thost students earned first chair. |
Further, the Middle School Band had four 7th and 8th graders make the All-District Middle School band. Ensembles at the Middle School include the Gold Band and the Purple Band (two mixed grade ensembles), and percussion ensembles. The High School also has a number of ensembles. The WildCat Concert band is the premier performing group of Godley High School. Other groups include a percussion ensemble, jazz band, and the Roar on the Floor Basketball Band, as well as the WildCat Marching Band.

The Godley High School Band is planning a trip to Walt Disney World and other sites in Florida during spring break. The dates of the trip are March 16th-21, 2009. Cost for the trip $580.00 per student. We have several fundraisers coming up to help raise money and are also accepting tax-deductable donations from businesses as well.
