Godley Middle School Student Council has been awarded "Outstanding Student Council" for the 2007-08 school year. Congratulations!

 

We are off to a busy year.  Student Council has sponsored a welcome back to school dance.  It was well attended and it looked like students were enjoying themselves. We also had a float in the homecoming parade.

 

Mrs. Wuensche and Mrs. Finn went to Austin for a Student Council advisors conference.  They came back with many new ideas.

 

The statewide theme for this year is “Going Green.”  We will be working to find ways to make our campus and community environmentally friendly.

 

Saturday, October 4th is the fall retreat.  We will be going to Harold Lange Middle School in Dallas.  Last year the student leaders came back with tons of ideas.

 

Student Council has been working with the cheerleaders on the pep rallies.  We are responsible for the games.  So far we have had students shooting arrows while blindfolded and dizzy, a relay race, and a Jello eating contest. 

We are busy selling Butter Braids to raise money for the annual convention in Austin.  It is November 21st and 22nd.
