Connie Atwood
This is my 23nd year in education. I received my degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1976. I began my career in education teaching seventh and eighth grade science. In 1993 I received my Master's Degree in counseling from Baylor University. Along the way I also completed requirements for an elementary certification and a gifted and talented certification. I have been a school counselor for 12 years. This is my 10th year at Godley Elementary School.
I have been married for 26 years to Danny Atwood. We have a daughter named Sara who graduated in June with a Master's Degree in Biomechanical Engineering from Dartmouth College. Sara is now a graduate student at the University of California Berkeley working on a PhD in Biomechanical Engineering. I have lived in Cleburne all my life. Danny and I both graduated from Cleburne High School in 1972 and Sara graduated from Cleburne High School in 1999. Some of the things I enjoy doing are traveling, reading a good book, going to the movies, trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends. (Danny would add talking on my cell phone). I am also a CASA (court appointed special advocate) volunteer for Johnson County.
