Senior Art Show

Objectives:  Public display of a body of works, Technology-based lesson for student group product/Desktop Publishing of web announcement, press release, flyers, and brochures.  

Lesson 1.    Evaluate the work you have done throughout your high school career.  Choose your ten best works and prepare them for display.

 

Lesson 2.    Write a short autobiography. Edit and revise it for publication in a brochure. Write a short critique of one of the works you will include in the show.  Edit and revise it for publication.  Make a digital image of the work. Use Corel Photo Paint to make adjustments to the photo.  Save as a compressed jpeg file.

Lesson 3.     The following artifacts need to be made.  Decide as a group who will make which artifacts.  Use appropriate programs for producing them.  Each member of the group must evaluate each piece and make editing suggestions.  Once everyone has approved an artifact it will be printed and sent to the appropriate editor for publication.

Clip art, logo, special font, news release, advertisement for a newspaper, announcement for the web, flyers, posters,  brochure.

Lesson 4.  Work together to set up the show.  Be available at the show to hand out brochures and answer questions.
