Class Rules
- Be on time to class.
- Turn in assignments on time.
- Bring all needed materials to class.
- Be respectful of everyone in class.
- Do your own work.
- All school rules and policies will be enforced in class.
Grading
Daily Work (20%)
- Daily work will consist of worksheets, reading focus questions, or any other assignment that is not a quiz or a test.
Quizzes (20%)
- Quizzes can be given at any time and will be given without notice on occasion.
Tests (40%)
- Test will be announced at least three days in advance. They will consist of multiple choice, matching, short answer and essay questions.
Projects (20%)
- We will have one project every six weeks that will be worth 20% of your overall grade.
Classroom Procedures
- Attendance will be taken at the beginning of class everyday. If you are late to class you will be given a tardy. BE ON TIME!!
- Do not talk while I am talking or another student is talking. If you have something to tell the class, raise your hand and I will give you an opportunity to share your comment.
- Do not expect to leave the classroom for a drink, restroom, phone, etc. Please take care of these matters during the passing period.
- Cheating will not be tolerated.
- Discipline will be handled according to handbook guidelines.
- All assignments will be due on specified date. If an assignment is late, fifteen points will be taken off for each day the assignment is late. After three days, the assignment will be recorded as a zero.
- If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to ask for the work that they may have missed. Makeup work will be due the day after a student returns to school.

1st Six Weeks- Pre History, Ancient Egypt, India and Greece
2nd Six Weeks- Greece, Rome, Americas, Middle Ages
3rd Six Weeks- Byzantine Empire, Muslim, Asia, Renaissance and Reformation
4th Six Weeks- Global Exploration, Absolute Monarchs, Enlightenment and American Revolution
5th Six Weeks- French and Industrial Revolution, Nationalism
6th Six Weeks- Imperialism, WWI, Russian Revolution, WWII, Cold War
