This program was established to create better people for the business world. Students will learn skills to better themselves in society, such as greeting others, having self-confidence, trusting others, etc. The class is based on discussion as well as speeches. Students will give around 8 or 9 speeches over the course of the semester. Through a Social Contract, the students will expect to be treated as well as treat others in the classroom with respect, honesty, open-mindedness, etc.
The program was developed by Flip Flippen, CEO of the Flippen Group. This program has helped major companies as well as kids in juvenile detention centers. Over the past few years, Teen Leadership as become a widespread program in junior highs and high schools across the state as well as other states.
