Classroom Procedures
- You will need a spiral notebook for class notes. Try to find one that has at least one pocket to hold returned papers.
- Please keep your textbook covered at all times.
- Use standard ruled paper.
- Please try to make your handwriting as legible as possible. If I can’t read it, I cannot grade it.
- Use a title on all papers. Include: Name, Subject, Period #, and date.
- Tardy policy: You must be in the room when the tardy bell rings. Three tardies in a semester=Referral to office.
- REMEMBER It is impossible to talk and listen effectively at the same time. Take the time to listen to your teacher or your classmates. Raise your hand if you wish to comment.
- Students should ask for makeup work upon returning from absences. Makeup work will be due the day after a student’s return to school. Ex. Student absent on Tuesday—Return to school on Wednesday—Makeup work due in class Thursday.
- All assignments are due on the specified date. No late work will be accepted. (Exceptions include makeup work or with teacher permission.) One daily grade will be dropped each six weeks.
- Do not expect to leave the classroom for a drink, restroom, phone, etc. Please take care of these matters during the passing period.
- Cheating will not be tolerated.
