Anotomy and Physiology Vertical Alignment

1st 6 weeks

A&P

  1. Interpret normal and abnormal contractility conditions such as in edema, glaucoma, aneurysms, and hemorrhage.
  2. Analyze the effects of pressure, movements, torque, tension, and elasticity on the human body.
  3. Conduct an investigation to determine causes and effects of force variance.
  4. Survey the uses of various diagnostic therapeutic technologies.
  5. Explain how coordination of muscles, bones, and joints allows movement of the body.

2nd 6 weeks

A&P

  1. Describe the integration of the chemical and physical processes: equilibrium, temperature, pH balance, chemical reactions, passive and active transport, and biofeedback that contribute to homeostasis.
  2. Predict the consequences of the failure to maintain homeostasis.
  3. Illustrate conduction systems such as nerve transmission or muscle stimulation.
  4. Describe the therapeutic uses and effects of external sources of electricity on the body system.
  5. Evaluate the application of advanced technologies such as EEG, ECG, bionics, TENS, and cardioversion.
