Hello, my name is Lori Riggan.  This is my fourth year with Godley ISD.  I have been a R.N. for 12 years.  I received my nursing degree from Tarleton State University. 

First Semester Events:

Any student needing an immunization for the Fall 2007 semester will receive a reminder in the mail.

Vision and hearing screenings will be done on any new student enrolled in Godley High School.

When to keep your child home from school:

1.  Fever.  If your child has a temperature of 100.4 F or greater your child should be kept home. 

2.  Contagious  Illness. Some examples include: Impetigo, pink-eye, head lice, and strep throat.

When your child may return to school:

1.  fever:  excluded until fever subsides

2.  impetigo:  excluded until treatment has begun

3.  pink-eye:  excluded until treatment begins

4.  head lice:  excluded until one medicated shampoo or lotion treatment has been given.

5.  strep throat:  excluded until 24 hours from time antibiotic was begun and fever           subsided.
