Lyrical Poem Projects

ASSIGNMENT GIVEN TO THE STUDENTS:

Your assignment is to write a lyrical poem about you or a loved one.  Match your lyrics to a familiar tune, and then make a recording of your song.  You will play or perform your song for the class. Be sure to add poetry elements to your poem, such as imagery, alliteration, assonance, similes, metaphors, etc.  Your poem needs to consist of at least FIVE STANZAS and TWENTY-FIVE LINES.  Have fun and be creative!!

"Hard Time" by Alex Wray (set to the tune of "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter)

Alex used a computer program to create the "chipmunk" effect on his project.

"What I Do" by Anthony Hill (set to the tune of "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol)

The instrumental (guitar) was played by Anthony himself.

"Love Song" by Bailey Kinkead (set to the tune of "Love Song" by Taylor Swift)

The vocals on Bailey's project are amazing!
