Dear Student and Parent,

              Welcome to Senior English! I hope you are as excited as I am as we begin your final journey towards graduation. And what a journey it will be! Read below to discover class information and procedures.

Grades and Grading Procedures

* 40% of grade: minor grades (daily assignments, prewriting, rough drafts, etc.)

* 60% of grade: major grades (essay tests, essays, projects, etc.)

 

Makeup Work

- Students have 2 days per day missed to make up daily assignments.

- Major grades must be made up within 5 days of the student’s return to school.

- Projects assigned 2-3 weeks in advance are due on the original date; late    

   projects will receive a 25 point deduction.

It is the student’s responsibility to ask for missed assignments.

 

Classroom Rules

~ Be respectful to others and their property by keeping hands, feet, objects,  

    and negative comments to yourself

~ Bring all supplies with you when you enter.

~ Take care of all business (bathroom, socializing, grooming, etc.) before you

    come to class.

~ Clean up after yourself.

~ The dress code will be followed in the classroom.

~ Cell phones will not be used during class.

 

Cheating will NOT be tolerated and will be punished according to the handbook.
