Theater One

Dear Student and Parent,

Welcome to theater!! I’m excited to begin my second year of theater. I have learned much from my first year and have lots of new ideas to improve the class. Please read below to discover procedures, supplies, etc.

Theater Syllabus

Theater class will be structured each week. Each day of the week will have a specific activity planned, especially for first semester. During the first semester, we will work on levels of comfort while performing in front of audiences. We will also be completing at least one fund raiser each semester. Much of the second semester will be devoted to the end-of-year play that is also the final exam for this class.

Supplies

1. College-ruled paper

2. Pens and pencils

3. A good attitude and a willingness to try new things.

Grades and Grading Procedures

* 40% of grade: minor grades (daily assignments, participation, etc.)

* 60% of grade: major grades (written tests and performances)
