Godley Intermediate Red Ribbon Activities
To All Godley Intermediate Parents:
Red Ribbon Week is October 22-31.
We will be doing our activities during Oct 29 – November 2 to tie into Halloween Safety and participate with our PTO “BYOP”.
The week of October 23-31 is the National Red Ribbon Campaign. The purpose of “Red Ribbon Week” is to motivate and encourage children to stay off drugs!
We want our students to be especially aware of drugs and safety during the week of Halloween. We have some special days planned, and all students are invited to participate.
All Intermediate families are invited to Bring Your Own Pumpkin Tuesday night, October 30, 2007 to Godley Intermediate to decorate pumpkins.
It will be from 6:00 – 8:00. PTO will have food available for a nominal price.
Monday, October 29 is “Red Day.”
The children, faculty, and staff may dress in red from head to toe. Red shirts, sweaters, pants, socks, and shoes—Red! Red! Red!
Tuesday, October 30 is “SOCK it to those Crazy Drugs Day”. The children, faculty, and staff can wear crazy socks to join our fight against drugs!
Wednesday, October 31 is “Tie Up Drugs” Day.
The children, faculty, and staff can wear the craziest ties they can make. We are encouraging the children to make the ties during school representing Red Ribbon ideas.
(No Halloween costumes please, just crazy ties!)
Thursday, November 1 is “WILD About a Drug Free Life” Day.
The children, faculty, and staff may wear wild animal print for the day.
Friday, November 2 is “Team Up Against Drugs” wear Godley Wildcat colors.
We look forward to an educational and a fun week!
