Classroom Procedures
Brady
Starting class
- Enter the room quietly with your supplies.
- Find your assigned seat. Do not roam the room.
- Write objective from board onto your calendar.
- Get previous assignment out to grade.
- Grade.
- Work on warm-up.
Daily Assignment
- Copy notes into spiral. You will not be allowed to go to your locker to get your spiral. If you do not have your spiral, write it on loose-leaf paper (the front only) and glue it in later.
- Write your heading on your paper (name, date, and period - top right corner).
- Write the title of the assignment (top line).
- Work until the bell rings and finish incomplete work at home.
Dismissal
- Pick up trash from floor.
- Teacher will dismiss class
Tardy to class
- Enter classroom quietly and do not disturb the classroom.
- Pick up where the class is and catch up later. Skip enough room in spiral to place missing parts.
- Five points will be deducted from conduct grade for each tardy.
- Three tardies result in a referral to the office
Absent from class.
- Make sure you skip enough space in spiral for notes you missed.
- During your time - go to calendar and copy assignment(s). A worksheet assignment will be in a folder by calendar.
- Copy notes on assignments that were missed.
- Write absent on work that needs to be turned in, so late points will not be deducted.
- You are responsible for all absent work – see student handbook
Missing Assignments
- Assignments not turned in on the designated due date will be a zero until assignment is turned in.
- Parents will be notified with a Notice of Concern which needs to be signed by parents and returned.
- Three conduct points will be deducted. (see handbook)
- Twenty - five points per day will be deducted from grade. Third day the assignment will be a zero.(see handbook)
- Students are allowed one zero per six weeks that will not affect their grade.(see handbook)
Corrections
- Two days during the six weeks will be used for corrections. One after progress reports and one before report cards.
- Students will be allowed to correct their two lowest grades at this time. Corrections will not be accepted at any other time. (exceptions - absent)
- Corrections have to be done on a separate piece of paper.
- Correct only the problems that are wrong.
- Title the paper Corrections.
- Staple to the front of the original paper.
- Corrections will not be accepted if the original paper is missing, late or incomplete.
