TAKS testing is almost complete for the 2007-2008 school year! All GMS students have completed their Math and Reading tests. We are awaiting all the results and will be notifying parents as soon as they arrive!

   *NOTE:      This year 8th graders will have to pass the Reading and Math TAKS tests in order to be promoted to the 9th grade. If you would like more information about this qualification, you may click on the TEA link below or call Mrs. Dear at the middle school.

Mrs. Dear, Counselor

As the counselor here at Godley Middle School, it is my goal to:

• serve as a bridge between home, school, and the community
• talk with students in classrooms, small groups, and individually
• aid teachers and parents in helping children
• help identify the needs of children
• provide helpful information to students and parents
• maintain confidences
• aim for student success

How do I request to see the counselor?

    Students: If you need to speak to the counselor during the school day, please come by the front office during a passing period and fill out a referral form. Mrs. Dear will call you down when she is available.

    Parents: If you would like to speak with me, please call the school to make an appointment. If it is urgent, however, please just come to the school office and I will do my best to see you as soon as possible.
