Technology Training

 

The GISD administration and School Board believe that utilizing technology in the classroom is a vital part of educating students in today’s world.  To achieve that type of instruction, teachers must feel comfortable in developing lesson plans and integrating that technology into their classrooms.

 

Therefore, it is the expectation of the district that all teachers demonstrate technology competency at a level stated in the Texas Long Range Plan for Technology and SBEC’s recommended skills.

 

Demonstration of those skills is achieved by the completion of GISD’s Level 1 Certification and the Teacher Technology Competencies Certification (TTCC) administered by the Educational Service Center Region 11.
